I don't understand why no one has the courage to say that despite Nick Cave's impressive career, this album is just a colossal piece of shit with no way out. A new Nick Cave album as news makes you happy for the first three seconds, but then the material is so poor that not even a band of angry teenagers with problems at home could make it work. Still, Cave will always remain a sacred monster.

IN SHORT, I don't think they can really handle the pressure in a feature film.. I really admire them in the short skits where they are unique and wonderful..

The five is weighed against the rest of the new releases... but maybe in a few years... let’s see what Scaruffi says......:) ps: Moon and Antarctica, which has been so praised, in my humble opinion was still a bit immature and confusing, and even a bit heavy overall, although undoubtedly valuable... this one is beautifully mature and well "focused on differentiation"... I had never experienced listening to an hour of the same album... those from 2000 onwards, of course...

Honestly speaking, I’ve been following new releases quite assiduously for just over three years now, and I have never been so passionate about a newly released album. It's truly intense, articulate, varied, complete, captivating, and energetic. The Pixies don't come across too overwhelmingly; to my rather strange ears, it seems like they're taking quite a risk, creating a sort of bizarre crossover between TV on the Radio and Built to Spill (and of course, the Pixies...). I highly recommend it.
