Yes, but in the last 10/15 years I don't remember other musicians who did it, or at least not as much. Long live Ivan Cattaneo! (yeah, sure!)

Not to defend him, but he was the first to "launch the trend" of cover discs. It's not like he did anything remarkable; today we are all about covers and greatest hits collections on at least 3 CDs, a complete lack of inspiration. However, I believe that the version of "La Musica Muore" on this CD is superior to Camisasca's.

surely the best of the Fleurs trilogy, the most personal. High peaks like the concluding "La Musica Muore" and "L'Addio" (by friends Camisasca and Russo), alternating with banal reprises of not particularly exciting tracks like "E' Più Ti Amo." Battiato certainly doesn't have good English and French pronunciation, and it shows; for this reason, it's better to focus on the songs in Italian.
