Beautiful singer-songwriter album, although inferior to what I consider his masterpiece (the first "Tricarico"). It's about talking about love without being trivial. Simple, minimal lyrics, but not straightforward at all, rather I'd say cryptic. A review that describes the character well but hardly addresses the album itself.

musically disappointing. Afterhours and Tricarico the best. And maybe Nicky Nicolai with Di Battista. Of course, they all got kicked out.
Matia Bazar Tango

This album is a masterpiece of Italian music! Ondarock did well to "petrify" it! Tracks like "Vacanze Romane," "Elettrochoc," and "I Bambini di Poi" are unreachable peaks (especially compared to the current and pitiful Matia Bazar). The downfall of the group was undoubtedly the infamous Piero Cassano! The departure of Ruggiero, the death of Stellita, the abandonment of Sabbione...don't make me think about it!

for alia76, I know the definitions of "synonym" and "hypernym." But yours is a reasoning that is as logical as it is technical (linguistic); they are not the resulting components of a purely aesthetic discourse. That they are distinct categories (as Yosif was keen to point out) is true, but it is also true now that both definitions are universally accepted in common lexicon as "this" and "that," because they are presented as such in every book, dictionary, and encyclopedia of semantics. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), I have learned to question everything.

Discussions about art, if they exist, must intervene. If I go to the Venice Biennale, I might not like anything, but it’s undeniable that there is art there. By saying "Sanremo artists," you are labeling all the artists who participate and have participated in the past as mediocre. It is undeniable that the Italian public has always been accustomed to mediocrity, but after constantly saying "this is mediocre" and "this is poor," we have lost our perception; we only like things because they are universally recognized by critics (and there are certainly divergent opinions, even in journalism). I doubt that Tricarico possesses any particular technical knowledge in music (despite his diploma from the Conservatory); everything he does is performed unconsciously, and thus he is a true artist. I have been saying this since 2000, not since Sanremo 2008! Nevertheless, I do not hide a certain fear for his near future.

Some songs by Jovanotti, taken individually, have value. But I have always found his albums to be empty. The only one I managed to listen to from start to finish (and that still pops up in my player) is "Buon Sangue" from 2005.

It's too easy to say that "Trout Mask Replica" and "The Velvet Underground & Nico" are masterpieces of rock music and slap a 5-star rating on them. It's better to discuss more controversial records, don't you think?
