This album has hardly left a mark, and the reason is easy to understand. I only save a few tracks, including "Splitting The Atom" and "Atlas Air." These days, however, I'm re-evaluating "100th Window," which was slightly underrated back then. How much I love that CD; after "Mezzanine," it's the one I like the most!

Regarding the latest by the Black Angels (come on, let’s go off topic), it’s my favorite of their three, definitely the least dark, and nicely compact...36 minutes that glide by in pleasure. Black Mountain, Black Angels, Black Sabbath, Black Rainbows (very Italian)...step right up, folks!

For me, this album is also awaiting judgment. For now, a solid 3 just to be safe. Of course, Claudio Sorge giving it a generous 8 smells too much like a payoff. "In The Future" unfortunately lost quite a bit of steam over time, but Psycho and "Bright Lights" weren't that bad! Paradoxically, what I listen to most from them is the first "Druganaut ep," where the title track lasting 8 minutes really deserves recognition, not the one that ended up on the self-titled album! Nothing new and nothing original, but nobody has ever asked Black Mountain for that, especially since it would be a paradox in 2010 to come up with something new while doing '70s rock! I look forward to seeing them in concert; the last time they performed live was far from disappointing, quite the opposite...

What a masterpiece of a review, Ez! One little note from a stickler: the Gunter Hotel is located in San Antonio (Texas) and not in San Francisco, be careful not to anger the spirit of Robert Johnson...

Mmmm... I must have missed this one, maybe it's because I no longer have the stoner/space "nose" I used to. The same goes for Samsara Blues Experiment; it didn't impress me that much, despite giving it several chances. I find it pachydermic, it "drags" a bit too much. I don't know, I have the feeling that this genre reached its peak a long time ago, and as Bartle says, very often overhyped bands are just copies of copies of copies... I really like the latest Black Crowes album too, and I feel a bit bitter thinking I've never seen them live (sure, they could have done a farewell tour with a couple of stops in Italy). @Bartle: believe it or not, the cover of "Everybody Knows..." by the Heads is one of the most beautiful ever for me too. A few years ago, I managed to get my hands on the original CD, and last but not least, the sweet Trell gifted me the vinyl she got through eBay! But that's not all; my level of excitement was such that I even had a t-shirt made with that design... man, I was really rocking it!

Absolutely fantastic, Fenni! It's an album that I consistently pick up and listen to (especially at this time of year) with great pleasure; it has a special charm for me, as well as an incredible sound. It’s a shame that after this, they dropped that half-baked "Clouds in the head" and then completely lost their way. One thing, though: doesn't the song with Katty Heach simply go by "4:28" (because it lasts 4 minutes and 28 seconds) instead of "0.1861111111"?

A somewhat too stereotypical review, it doesn't really motivate one to listen, huh.. I’ve only heard them in passing so I won’t rate them, but let’s say I definitely prefer Rufus Huff. I took a look at your blog.. very interesting. Daje Modenè!

We started with the "interesting" cue provided by Puni to comment on the phenomenon of social networks, and we end up talking about bananas in the ass... that's why I love Debaser.
