The Asteroid No. 4 Introducing The Asteroid #4
Voto:
Nigerian psychedelia?! How ahead of you are :) And here I was stuck with the "very normal" Mondo Drag! By the way, Psycho, what do you think of these? I'll look into Asteroid #4 very soon, even though I sense a whiff (or should I say scent) of Brian Jonestown Massacre… or am I wrong?

The single didn't grab me at all. "Give Me A Good Reason.." and the soundtrack of "Andata + Ritorno" I really like, while the latest "Do I Have Life?" left me quite indifferent; I found it rather flat and boring. However, I'll give it a chance anyway because I am the greatest of all.
Motörhead 1916
Voto:
With this album, Motörhead tried to broaden their audience a bit, and in fact, sonically it is quite catchy compared to their previous works. Lemmy's bass doesn’t stand out here like in the other albums (bad... very bad!). However, the songs are definitely there, and many of them are still performed live today, and considering Motörhead's practically infinite repertoire, that’s no small feat. Among those from the 90s, it's my favorite along with "Sacrifice" (what a punch that one!), while the following "March Or Die," as Polkatulk88 rightly points out, is really poor apart from a couple of tracks.

Ugly Kid Joe America's Least Wanted

Very important note: even the name of the group itself is a joke about a typically 80s band, Pretty Boy Floyd, from which the alter ego Ugly Kid Joe is derived. How many people found this comment useful?
Pearl Jam Vitalogy
Voto:
I'm sorry, Gnagnera, but what's wrong with a group having the means and the money to self-produce? And let's not be Talibans, please... Also, remember their long (miserably lost) battle against the Ticketmaster monopoly to lower concert ticket prices.

How much hatred there is in your words! It sounds like you have a personal grudge against them. I don't agree with the first four lines of the review, or maybe I should say "invective." You can say a lot about PJ; it's true that their recent works certainly don't shine for originality and creativity (especially the self-titled one from 2006), but it's undeniable that they've been on the scene for 20 years in a more than dignified and, above all, consistent manner, which is absolutely not easy these days. They give very few interviews, little promotion whenever they release a new album, and practically don’t make videos (except for 2 or 3), in short, they let their music do the talking... and live, they put on concerts that others can only dream of. Back to "Vitalogy," it is hailed by most of their fans; I like it, but it doesn’t drive me crazy; the mood is too gloomy, and I associate it with quite a strange period of my life. I’m done, thanks.
Stan Getz Stan Getz with Guest Artist Laurindo Almeida

Damn, you're in great shape... I see you're getting more and more inspired, truly impressive! You've managed to perfectly interpret what I've also been feeling these days, with the first hints of spring. I have quite a bit of Stan Getz because I adore him, but I don't have this... I need to fix that right away. And happy spring (it's a bit early for summer... let's enjoy the shoulder seasons too :))

It's fine to be a fasciometallisti, but it's also true that these guys do just fine in real life.

Wow, what a bridge! I need to dig deeper into that; this thing about extra CDs full of improvisations really intrigues me. Enjoy your trip....
