Negrita Helldorado

@Cornell: the problem with the latest Negrita is precisely this, the fact that they want to please everyone, not to mention "they're on the margins and they're quite happy about it." They have lost their identity and especially their sound, particularly after the flop of "Radio Zombie" (which, by the way, was a nice album). In more than one interview, Negrita themselves admitted that their goal is to reach the largest number of people with their music, and that being at the top of the sales charts wouldn’t bother them at all. Until a few years ago, they were doing "their thing" and they did it well; at least they were consistent. And then, even in their videos, they started copying the Red Hot Chili Peppers (but without the presence or the budget... sad). I’m referring to the video of "Gioia Infinita," which is basically a copy of "Scar Tissue." But I agree, they do put on some amazing concerts. Best regards.

I confirm: 2 decent tracks and nothing more. "Che Rumore Fa La Felicità" sounds like a throwaway song from Zero Assoluto for how banal and cheesy it is. The inspiration and the blues of the early days are just a distant memory...

But don't you feel ashamed with all these prejudices? Everyone giving it a 1, and none of you have actually listened to this CD! I can only agree. The bad thing is that it will hammer us all summer long with its crap songs, it's impossible to escape.
MGMT Congratulations

And to think that in America it was received a bit coldly precisely because this work lacks that catchy single for the radio, like "Time To Pretend" from the previous album. Anyway, "Congratulations" at the beginning throws you off a bit, the references to a certain type of late '60s psychedelia are definitely there... in fact, I can hear quite a bit of the Strawberry Alarm Clock in the opening song "It's Working" (who??)! GEB, I like your enthusiasm for this album, but I don't think that once the waters have calmed, much of MGMT will remain. Unfortunately, the average listener today tends to forget very quickly... they sample a lot (since everything is free), but savor little!

No no dear Geenoo, next to my comment it says "100," and do you think that's little? You came in 104th, but that’s something anyone can do..

Great observation MADCAT. It’s clear that it’s much easier (or more fun, depending on your perspective) to tear someone down rather than praise them. In short, as good Italians, we much prefer to be "against" rather than "in favor."

I absolutely wasn't referring to you, Core; I was speaking generally...

But can you believe that someone has to justification for what they listened to at 14/15 years old? As if some little professor should judge us...meh!
