How nice!! I don't know the director and the film in question. You've piqued my curiosity.

You couldn't help yourself, Punisher, trying to humiliate someone who could be your son, just to feel better about the beatings you take for your endless arrogance, vulgarity, and ignorance. He would have lessons to teach you about what good cinema is. And he even apologizes after you made fun of him. How disgusting.

elected don't take it personally, the punisher has had some rough encounters lately in his "review" of Patti Smith, he feels a bit bitter and frustrated :-DD. I haven't seen this movie yet because I would prefer Almodovar to talk about women anyway, it should be interesting, also for the fact that it is anticlerical and that's enough for me. black, the fact that people were getting up and asking for a refund means nothing.

The Beatles were credited with taking the fashions and musical trends of the moment and making them more catchy and marketable. Songs like "Tomorrow Never Knows" or "Within You Without," are catchy pop psychedelia, nice songs but naive and of little significance for psychedelia and its evolution. After all, one couldn't expect the masses to digest something like "European Son" in '66 or "Sister Ray" in '67, could they? I'll reevaluate the Beach Boys easy :-)
Lux: "Sunday Morning" is only seemingly a catchy and innocuous song. I agree with what you said about its ambiguity.

I wanted to say that Poletti is free to do whatever he wants with a review. Sorry, but I was writing quickly. Apparently, no one is interested in talking about this film; they only care about criticizing each other.

I have neither prejudices nor hypocrisy; I even gave Poletti some 5s and I didn’t even vote the review. So let’s not make a mountain out of a molehill; I don’t want to be part of “categories,” that is, hypocrites or sycophants that don’t belong to me. If you want to accuse someone of hypocrisy and prejudice, name names, at least we won’t feel necessarily involved. And for me, Poletti is free to write a review however he pleases. Moreover, I’ve tried to shift the discussion from insults to concrete matters. Just to clarify, without any polemic.

I mean, rock means everything and nothing, in the sense that it's very difficult to give it a precise definition.

Yes, Lux, your reasoning fits... indeed, Sunday Morning and Femme Fatale, like All Tomorrow's Parties, seem distant from rock... and I agree, rock really doesn't mean everything and nothing. Rock is, as you say, an attitude, a way of being. Larrock: thank goodness everything changed in '66! :-)
