David Cronenberg M. Butterfly

Well dear Fidia, yours is a challenging and entirely subjective question. It's hard to answer, it depends on what and how one discovers the person they thought they knew... :-)

I found A History of Violence to be somewhat distant from Cronenberg's traditional style. I liked it, but I swear that if I hadn’t known it was his film, I would have never guessed.

one of my favorites by Cronenberg. the review is nice but a bit rough this time Fidia. You can do better and you know it :-). I agree with alias-vic.
David Lynch Una Storia Vera

What a beautiful film! A movie about old age, everything is intentionally slow and calm. A road movie for the elderly :-)
Francois Truffaut Jules e Jim

to see is also The Wild Child, which I saw years ago. In Truffaut, the concept of childhood and emotional void is recurring, along with its pursuit in adulthood to find fulfillment and fill that void. This is strongly felt, not only in The Wild Child but also in Adèle H and The Man Who Loved Women. All characters who somehow had to fill an emotional gap, like Adèle Hugo, whose father always preferred her sister.

Jules and Jim is certainly among the best, I didn't like The Girl Next Door.

Yes, the nice thing is that it appeals right away. Good, good that you liked it :-) I don't know the punch line yet.

Very good :-). My favorites by Truffaut are Adele H, Fahrenheit 451, The Man Who Loved Women, and The Bride Wore Black.

Sorry, Pippo, but what do I have to do with this? I never dreamed of coming to the Passion review, you're mixing me up with someone else, and I didn't even want to come here, but now you've forced me to.... :-)) Please don't drag me into your religious-political quarrels. I couldn't care less.
