Luciano Salce Il Secondo Tragico Fantozzi
Voto:
I couldn't stand Fantozzi anymore because his misfortunes give me anxiety, but this made me laugh so much! :-D
P.S. I didn't know the anecdote about the cineclub, well done Mr. Cruciani :-)
Tortoise A Lazarus Taxon [3CD+DVD]

Thank you all for the clarifications. I had indeed noticed that the definitions of post-rock are generic and a bit too many, and of course, they label us with a bit of everything. Now things are clearer to me, thank you :-)

a concise and effective review for a box set with unreleased b-sides, etc., is more than sufficient. However, I'm curious to hear from you festwca or from pretazzo, why it’s misleading and forced to consider the Tortoise as post-rock. I just want to understand, since I only have 2 albums, and the idea, still superficial, that I've formed is that in some aspects and stylistic choices, Tortoise can indeed relate to post-rock. But they themselves also reject the label. More than Can, they remind me of Neu!, is that possible? ciauz :-)

I had heard their name but didn't quite get what music they actually played; now it's clear to me. I really think I should get my hands on them because it seems they are quite unusual and rather experimental. I also sense a certain anticipation of world music, tropical calm, raga digressions, a return to natural sounds, and to primitive and tribal sonorities. What an interesting proposal!! Well done as usual.
Frank Capra La Vita E' Meravigliosa

Here, I was one of those people who had prejudices about this film and believed it was a sappy movie, filled with disgusting good feelings, etc. I see that it’s something entirely different, and your phrase "A secular, pure, and very beautiful attempt to explain what a man's life is." gives me hope. Well done.
Decibel Novecento

Hi Iside, I missed your review, it must have been on the homepage for just a little while. Great job! I have a faint memory of the decibels, for example, that one from San Remo. Bye :-)!

Captain, yes it's true and it was the only time I spoke with a famous artist, but for 5 minutes, it was a radio show and it wasn't just me on the list :-)

I've heard about the singer-songwriter Elliot Smith; now that you've reminded me, I'll definitely get something of his. Hi Laura!
