Here’s Carlito's Way ... I have to agree with you, I would say it’s De Palma’s best film, for this movie I take back my harshness, but the rest doesn’t convince me, I find Hitchcock’s wickedness much more subtle and ironic ... De Palma’s is more ostentatious in my opinion and less effective ... these are my impressions, they depend on personal tastes.
