Look, I was just defending the '80s from the clutches of Poletti :-DD. But of course, one can't generalize; every decade has its flaws and merits from every point of view.

There were many beautiful things about the 80s. For example, the total absence of cell phones and continuous annoyances. If you want to look at it from a cinematic and musical perspective, there were beautiful things in those years, from which we still draw inspiration today. If you focus solely on the social and political aspect, I must disagree with you again. They were indeed hedonistic years, but what are we now? Spiritual? Just turn on the TV to see how low we've sunk... and unfortunately, there is no end to the worsening.

Here's the video of Voices, for anyone who wants to rewatch it and listen again. Of course, please join the spaces because copy-pasting doesn't work.

I was just saying... I wasn't talking. But does anyone remember Russ Ballard and "Voices" from the '80s? I just heard it on the radio at the bar, Christ, what a track! That's a piece to remember!! Widely exploited, by the way, in Miami Vice!

And who criticizes them? I was just saying that if the eighty are criticized, it's precisely thanks to little groups like this one.

Oh right, back then considering them punk was blasphemy for people who really knew and appreciated punk. It was a bit like now with blink182...

The 80s have a terrible reputation, also thanks to these guys. Vintage trash. They had pushed the musical trends of the time to the extreme, distorting and ridiculing them, and they were only able to sell a few singles taken from the album. The album as a whole didn’t have much luck.
