Quentin Tarantino Grindhouse: Death Proof - A Prova di Morte
Voto:
It will surely be considered one of Tarantino's lesser works, but the issue lies in the European division by the producers, as they need to recoup the money lost in the US. Let's say that those extra 10/15 minutes of somewhat unnecessary dialogue hurt the film since they were cut from the American version for a reason, right...?
Anyway, let's not complain; in June, during this time, crap really comes out, "Death Proof" is a breath of fresh air, plus great Kurt Russell and a beautiful soundtrack...

sorry to those who did NOT like "The Thin Red Line"...

I've heard of people leaving the cinema or falling asleep during the screening. I, on the other hand, didn't find it as slow or dull as they say; anyway, those who know Malick should know that anyone who enjoyed "The Thin Red Line" would find it impossible not to appreciate "The New World." Even Farrell seemed up to the task...

I’ve heard people say good things about this movie, too bad Cage is in it, but what can you do, he’s everywhere now...
Martin Scorsese Taxi Driver
Voto:
Anyone who gives "Taxi Driver" less than 5 stars is crazy. Some of the latest cinephiles might consider it outdated, but who cares...

Beautiful Beautiful
Brian De Palma Scarface

Anyway, to be honest, I prefer "Carlito's Way" to "Scarface," it's more thrilling and poetic.

One of the most beautiful scenes in the film is when Tony Montana and his friend find themselves in front of the Colombian's chainsaw; the camera moves outward and frames Manny approaching a blonde. Manny is oblivious to what’s happening in the apartment, the camera returns to Tony dripping with blood from his recently dismembered partner and then… Fantastic scene. In TV broadcasts, it’s cut.
