Arctic Monkeys Suck It And See
Voto:
Well done, Nicholas, great review! The first two from Arctic are nice discs for me - but they've never fully won me over - I've kept a proper distance from the third, this one you say should fit my tastes... I'll listen to it as well in preparation for the concert in Bologna!

I forgot the movie, but I remember that after watching it, I was satisfied.

If I could choose a genre to strike from existence, piano-rock would be among the top contenders.
Yellowcard When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes

For me, "Ocean Avenue" is one of the best pop-punk albums of all time. The subsequent ones generally bored me, except for a couple of tracks. However, I think the fate of all these pop-punk bands is to produce one or two "for kids, by kids" albums (which we will always listen to with pleasure because they remind us of the good old times) and then either shift towards more mature/complex/evolved sounds (where they obviously have the ability) or continue to churn out pale substitutes of the good albums, nonetheless risking to seem ridiculous given the relentless passage of years.
Silverstein Rescue

Write in a somewhat laborious manner. Silverstein, apart from the first two albums, I've only listened to in bits and pieces; I must give them credit for consistently producing decent records and for maintaining their dignity and a certain coherence. I will try to listen to some of the tracks from this album, and perhaps I will come back to rate it.

One last note: the cover is an eyesore!

P.S. "Transparent Things" is their best work for me, but I think we all agree.

Good evening. Fujiya & Miyagi have returned to being one of my passions after seeing them live in Rome about a week ago (fantastic). I haven't listened to the new album in its entirety yet, but from what I've heard, I agree with you. But I really like F&M just like that, a bit on the dull side... :)

I have to say that given your comments, I expected worse; it's not my cup of tea, but there is definitely worse out there.
