Just finished watching it now, all in one go or almost. The strength of the series (obviously of the book) is in my opinion - SMALL SPOILER - the courage to sacrifice characters for a consistently gripping plot development. I've lost interest in many series/movies/anime/manga due to the certainty that nothing would happen to the protagonists or trivialities like resurrections.
