I mostly agree with you on almost everything...

great review, I really like it. The album is nice too, especially the first track...
The Velvet Underground The Velvet Underground & Nico

But are you sure you didn't pick the wrong record? I've never read so much nonsense in a review... Hard Rock? House? Mr. Nico? Beatles vs Velvet Underground? Hmm...
The Strokes First Impressions Of Earth

Album rating 3, which is the average of the first part (4) and the last part (2). Come on, Loureedo is tremendously right: if this album gets a 2, then the rest of the reviews should go below zero. In "Heart in a Cage," Iggy Pop is parodied (if I really have to find a resemblance, the first part is very very very very very vaguely similar to "The Passenger")? Give me a break, that’s a huge stretch.

for Adriano: since when is "poppeggiante" an insult? Then Paul McCartney and XTC should really take the insults they've received throughout their careers.
Keane Hopes And Fears

I don't understand certain arguments... just because there isn't a bassist in a band doesn't mean there's no bass. Suengiu_metal88, just so you know, the bass is sampled, and if you had listened (instead of criticizing, because for you this band was already crap from the start) to some songs, you would have noticed it. The keyboardist should actually be using a kind of Fender Precision sampled on an Apple G4 computer. Sure, if I had a band, I wouldn't be proud to have a computer instead of a bassist, but my point was an invitation to listen to the music before shooting crap. That said, the album isn’t that great. There are a couple of really nice songs (Somewhere only we know and the one from the Vodafone ad) and nothing more. It's an album you can spend a few hours of easy listening with, not bad and especially very well played.
p.s. Keane compared to the Sugababes? Don't make absurd comparisons. They don't even know what the hell a quaver is and they’ve never written a lyric (not that their lyrics are metaphysical or anything). The Keane, as I said, play very well and have interesting lyrics. Bye.
Biglietto per l'inferno Biglietto per l'inferno

Great album, it vaguely reminds me (but really just vaguely) of the sounds of a relatively unknown Italian prog band, Atlantide. Overall, it is absolutely an excellent CD, and even the timing of the sowing is a good piece of work, though a bit inferior to this debut.
Muse Black Holes And Revelations
Voto:
I like this CD. If they had made all the songs identical, with the style we expect from them, then yes, they would have run out of steam quickly and you would have said: "What a drag these Muse... always the same things...". Instead, they decided to freshen up their genre a bit, unlike hundreds of other bands that keep churning out the same albums to continue surviving thanks to the "aficionados" crowd that keeps buying the CDs. With this countertrend move, Muse also risked losing a lot of fans (and from what I see, they have lost many). And anyway, you guys are exaggerating; there are tracks for fans of the "old" Muse: City of Delusion, Starlight, some passages of Knights of Cydonia (which has nothing to envy from the other big pieces of their repertoire), and many more... It’s also understandable that there are moments that fall flat; after all, even masterpieces have them. Oh, then what can I say, if you don't like it, listen to Origin of Symmetry, which remains the best. I also recommend Black Holes and Revelations.
Laura Nyro Eli And The Thirteenth Confession
Voto:
I'm not convinced that Lisa Germano was inspired by Nyro, but I agree with the designation as the natural heir of Tori Amos. The album is stunning and it has finally arrived on Debaser. The review is nice. By the way, the 5th Dimension made a good living off Laura's work: they did another cover of another beautiful song, "Wedding Bell Blues," from another album, earning quite a nice sum from it (the fact is that those who know that song know it for the version by the 5th Dimension).
