Wonderful review that clearly describes one of Tchaikovsky's most fascinating and mysterious works: you managed to express, in a competent and clear style, the author's state of mind at the moment of composing the last of his symphonies, without neglecting technical and compositional aspects. And I would have given you the same 5 for choosing to review one of the greatest of all time... heartfelt congratulations! This is one of the best reviews I have ever read!

But look, the Pope merely quoted the speech between Manuel Paleologus and an Islamic prince during the siege of Constantinople. The words "Show me what Muhammad has brought that is new, and you will find only bad and inhumane things, such as his directive to spread by the sword the faith he preached" are attributable to Manuel. The Pope only reports them, and indeed distances himself from them, stating (not explicitly) that the Byzantine emperor exaggerated. This means that Muslims too often seek conflict, in this case by taking a phrase out of context. The Pope was actually talking about Reason and Faith, and whether they could coexist in a world like this. He also spoke about the importance of Greek thought in the Catholic Church. So, it was also a minor part of the speech, not the core. Read it all and see how this was just a pretext to throw gasoline on the fire in anticipation of the Pope's arrival in Turkey. I'm not Catholic, but I just wanted to clarify. With that ex cursus in response to Fidia, I must say that the review really intrigued me, truly impressive. However, I join the chorus of protests: make it shorter next time. For those who say the review is childish, well, I think it is in line with the content of the album.

I mean, you gave 5 to Jesse McCartney and 3 to these guys (not that the album is fantastic, but it’s definitely better than that other one)? And you consider the level reached by Gran Gay as an interesting goal to aspire to? And what’s with this bullshit about death… does one really have to write songs where the word love has to rhyme with heart? Oh my god… I quote you: "dead similar messages hurt"... those crappy songs by Blue that instrumentalize female sexuality purely for sexual purposes really hurt. What nonsense. By contemplating death, we contemplate the soul, our essence, and our ultimate purpose. Look at that, I’m talking about metaphysics, but maybe you think I’m glorifying suicide... get yourself some help.

But is this supposed to be a review? And is this a 5-star rock album? Speechless...

I forgot the grades... well, let's say a 3 and a half for the album because I can't go too far. Almost a 4.

mmm... a small consideration that has nothing to do with the value of the album and the band: I don't agree with the reviewer's idea that classifies MCR as "the most famous band on the internet." In my opinion, this attribute belongs to Arctic Monkeys (what they've done via the internet is incredible and innovative). As for the album, well, what can I say... this band really started off on the wrong foot. It’s undeniable that the early MCR CDs are filled with easily digestible melodies. Everyone, including me, labeled them as the new mass phenomenon for brainwashed minds and MTV addicts. However, with this album, everything changes. I know I might regret saying this, but the album is acceptable if not even good (there, I've committed myself). I agree with many points that Francis made. Although I think it’s out of place to compare this kid to the first Freddie Mercury, I believe that some bursts of guitar solos remind me of the best May from "A Night at the Opera." It makes me think of Blink-182 playing Queen, especially in "Welcome to the Black Parade." Queen and Bowie in emo shades often recur in other parts of the album. In short, I was taken aback and surprised by this CD. As Riccardo said a bit earlier, it’s about being musically open. And that's pretty difficult. From here to say that MCR is the greatest band of the moment is a big leap. I will keep an eye on them. In conclusion, Francis's review was great and has made me rethink these pseudo-dark guys (there are still symptoms of natural aversion towards MCR). Well, let’s hope I’m wrong. Or maybe not...

Great album. Excellent Carry On, Time, and the stunning cover of Kate Bush (sometimes it seems like Matos is about to collapse, but he comes back with even more vigor). The review is a bit too biased for my taste, but your enthusiasm is quite justified.

Well yes, it is indeed a bit of a limitation playing with a pick. Even for convenience's sake, with your fingers you have a variety of possibilities that could be very useful in this type of music. However, it’s not to say that the pick is useless; on the contrary, for some songs it is necessary (great example with metallAro). Having closed the chapter on the pick, I must say this is a good album with excellent tracks (among them, The Cage stands out). The review is also good.
