Danny Boyle Trainspotting

one of the last generational frescoes, if not the last true fresco of the word generational (today non-existent as it is so fragmented), one of those films without a rating.
Roman Polanski Repulsion

how could you give less than 5 to this movie?? a fresco on the pathological (just like "L'inquilino del terzo piano"), the best Deneuve along with her performance in "Belle de Jour".

One is always quick to label someone as antisemitic when it comes to things related to Jews. Fortunately, the Zionists are not all Jews, but only a part, and not all Jews have been supportive of Zionism. Fidia, open Google and do some research; the things that Galakordi says are not unfounded. There is a strong suspicion that Spielberg is a militant Zionist and that this film was even commissioned by the Israeli government, with Spielberg being the spearhead of Zionist propaganda in the world.

Well, it's obvious that Kubrick would have delivered yet another masterpiece and not the huge crap that Spielberg produced.

Bubi, because Kubrick was a fan of E.T., he liked it a lot. He was an admirer of Spielberg's sci-fi, and so he thought of starting a collaboration with him for A.I. But I believe that if Kubrick had still been alive, he would have seen A.I. directed solely by himself since the project was more his (he had been pushing it forward for a decade, thanks also to the collaboration for the visual effects with a genius like Chris Cunningham). It was unimaginable for someone like him to share direction with another. Otherwise, Kubrick always criticized Spielberg's later works, more out of respect for him than out of undue malice, and Spielberg, rightly, has never taken it too personally.

Brian Yuzna Society - The Horror

what a blast this movie is, too bad yuzna never reached this level again, we would have really enjoyed it, anti-system message, splatter and talking butts, a must-have in your film collection next to bergman’s movies.

Alright, if the reason was that I didn’t adequately justify my 2, fine, but I mean, at least give a user a few hours to express themselves fully. I, for instance, who work in an office, usually come in here at irregular intervals, whenever I can. Many times, if I leave just a rating with 2 words, it’s because I don’t have time at that moment to write more. Yes, Oliver Twist isn’t exactly anything special, but given the mark it has left in the past (even in the recent past with the pianist), it honestly doesn’t change at all what I think of this director.

I wanted to say: "with this, I am not accusing people who don't think like me of being smug or other nonsense."

All a show?? But why should I pretend that Schindler's List is on the same level as The Pianist?? I've seen a lot of films in my life and I’ve formed an opinion; if I were here just to put on a show, I would have written a review of this film and ripped it apart, but I don't want to do that, which shows that I couldn't care less about putting on a show. I only think that Spielberg wanted to create a fake "documentary" with this film to appeal to the ignorant masses who accept everything. I found it surprisingly devoid of ideas and filled with absolutely one-sided pseudo-dramatic elements. Even where tragedy doesn’t loom, everything must be forced because it has to be that way! I didn't see any of this in Polanski (who is a director with a sensitivity capable of taking down people like Spielberg), neither in the plot nor in the images; and as for the ending, he insisted on tacking on a manipulative and tear-jerking finale that had nothing to do with the rest. When will he understand that there are other ways to end films that are not a happy ending or a comforting conclusion? In the face of the Holocaust, I found his desperate need to cater to Hollywood's demands nauseating. So here's the explanation for my 2 rating; it's not "all a show," I was indignant in front of this film, plain and simple. But I repeat, everyone has their own sensitivity, and you, Ghemison, have a sensibility that is the opposite of mine for this kind of film. With this, I accuse people of being pretentious or other nonsense.
