Sparklehorse Dreamt For Light Years In The Belly Of A Mountain

Yes, you're right, it also seemed to me like a bland album; even Sparklehorse are done.

this album has been one of the greatest glimpses into the sky of indie, one of those albums that will never be made again, in fact the album that is coming out now from Sparkle is rather mundane and repetitive, the golden age is over for them too, great review rich in insights

you could have elaborated a bit more, I mean we are probably facing the spiritual testament of Layne Staley, someone who already knew that in a few years he would have to die, and he tells it right in this album through the lyrics, the sounds of Cantrell and Inez, and the symbolic imagery of the booklet (the three-legged dog and the drawing inside of a guy performing euthanasia with an old machine on a lying man), you could also mention the approach that leans more towards post-rock and Sabbath-like influences than grunge, we definitely missed the mark.
King Crimson In The Court Of The Crimson King

the apex of prog is pawn hearts, not this, an overly praised album.
Thin White Rope The One That Got Away
Voto:
a must-see double feature that gives you a sense of how much energy they could transmit live and allows you to experience the various famous covers sprinkled throughout their career... from "You Doo Right" to "Some Velvet Morning," passing through Dylan.

spiderland is from another planet, no discussion.
Grant Hart Intolerance
Voto:
Grant Hart was the dreamer, the lysergic one, which is why he was toxic; Bob Mould was more rational and fatalistic, meaning he understood without the tricks of drugs that society was truly shit. So I stand with Mould; drugs don't save from discomfort, they are just another kind of mask.

Well, so Ligeti was a sly one too?? Come on, listen to Ligeti and then we can talk again about this music here.

I've listened to all those Donjunio records, okay for the early Mudhoney I'll give you that, they were dirty garage, with perfect nods to the Stooges, okay they were really anarchic and in fact it's no coincidence that they never had success, unlike Nirvana and Soundgarden for example.

Kosmo, read it again more carefully; I mentioned Mother Love Bone :-) and I also referenced others besides the usual suspects.
