I tried to write a review that's less formal than usual, also because there wasn't much to say in terms of technicality or style... well, it's undeniable that the HIM sound tends to be a bit repetitive; let's say that the last three albums of unreleased material are somewhat a repetition and adaptation of the clichés of "Razorblade Romance"...

I agree that he has a nice voice and that he manages, with his emphasis, to give substance to meaningless songs... however, he could also dare a little bit more instead of always rehashing the same old stuff, since I think he is financially secure by now... "Non cancellate il mio mondo" is the only one I know, and it’s a nice song...

I've never been a big fan of Zucchero... However, this album is not even the worst he can do... Anyway, the habit of copying is somewhat of an intrinsic characteristic of his (to verify this, try comparing the beginning of "Puro Amore" with "Just because you feel good" by Skunk Anansie).

No more words are needed to describe such a myth... I agree with ucci about the gaze; I think it's so sexy that it transcends anyone's tastes and sexual preferences... From "Futtetenne" with Mario Merola: "he stole my heart, and you futtetenne, and he got dressed, and you futtetenne, and then he betrayed me..."..one of the few stars of Italian music...

Oriente is really a beautiful song... The whole CD is not bad either; I find it slightly better overall than the previous "La cura del tempo"... P.S.: I liked the questionable debuts a lot :-)...
