Well, the HIM may be commercial, but they certainly can't be compared to friends! Ville Valo may have all the flaws in the world as a vocalist, but compared to Marcodiamici, he's a damn good singer with balls... that's the least I can say!

In my opinion, beyond the talk of "find me similar albums from '97," it's worth saying that this is still a great album... but why does everyone forget about "Venere" when they review this CD??? For me, it's the best...

I completely agree with the reviewer. At first glance, Venus Doom seems like a huge step forward compared to the previous "Dark Light" (even though there were some really great tracks there that are missing this time)... however, the comparison with "Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666" and "Razorblade Romance" still doesn't hold. Maybe next time...

I don't know... Renato has always convinced me in parts. I came across this album by chance and it didn't really win me over. Too many clichés. Of course, one doesn't expect the glories of the origins anymore, but at least he could avoid so much banality. Anyway, I think this CD has been quite advertised. Renato doesn't need MTV because his audience doesn't watch it: better to stick to Domenica In, C'è Posta per Te, and Natale in Vaticano. That's where you really do advertising and also make $$$.
