this album is beautiful... when beautiful songs are written, no easy listening can compare...

the link highlighted by "the best" is crucial... it makes us realize that this "Ela" is actually a solo project of Steven Tyler...

a little surprise this album... certainly a pop record without many pretensions (maybe without any pretensions, but surely listening to a mainstream pop album not "contaminated" by hip hop or r'n'b has almost the flavor of novelty... but just think about the kind of music Pink makes and you remember that there's not much novelty there...

I listened to Ouverture XV, but I honestly admit I don't understand where the reference to Gocce di Memoria is... The piece I was talking about, that one is a blatant plagiarism, it’s "London after Midnight" by Sacrifice...

@ mandragola: I’m already aware of the blatant plagiarism you mentioned... plagiarism, however, committed by Andrea Guerra, the composer (or rather, the creator of that particular harmonic progression) that serves as the soundtrack for the film "La finestra di fronte" by Ozpetek... I’m sorry that this plagiarism has become an opportunity to diminish the work of an artist who is always honest and respectful of her audience... Giorgia in Gocce di memoria took care of the lyrics and harmony, not the strings (after all, she couldn’t have!)...

ps: and then, a copied song can still be beautiful :)

I don't know... the album still hasn't fully convinced me... from my perspective, the faster songs are the most enjoyable, while the slower tracks, on the other hand, remind me too much of Björk (whom I don't particularly love)... she has an interesting voice and way of singing, though...
pleasant review...
