Beatles Revolver
Voto:
The second masterpiece by the Beatles after "Rubber Soul"....
Has it ever occurred to anyone that the Beatles made the FUCKING music they wanted to make? That they never once thought about "copying" or being inspired by either the American "west coast" or the new English "pop"..... They were incurable lovers of the '50s, of Rockabilly. Then every now and then, just to stick a finger up the ass of the detractors and (pseudo) intellectuals, they made "little things" like "Tomorrow Never Knows" (which, as far as I know, is the first song in history to be considered psychedelic... and it’s from 1966) and Eleanor Rigby (which alone is worth the purchase of the record).... How can you compare them to Ricky Martin or whoever you want? Are we kidding? In fact, after the Beatles, anyone who decided to make Pop music had to confront them... Because they invented modern Pop.... The others just followed.
Best regards.

Actually, Michael Jackson sold more copies with one album than all the Beatles records combined... Then comes Presley... For some, it might be sad, but that's how it is :-))

Great Ozric, even though Erpland, Pungent Effulgent, Spirals in Hyperspace are superior to them... In any case, an absolutely great group....

Holy God, what a record! The noblest part of '80s electro-wave... even today, I am moved and amazed by certain immortal gems. Recorded, among other things, excellently for the time...

Vasco Rossi Bollicine

Vasco has played with the best Italian and foreign musicians... I'm thinking of Colaiuta, Solieri, Riva... People who (you can say whatever you want about the music) had and still have guts...
I don't understand if those who criticize are critiquing the music, the lyrics, the character... Because in my house those are immensely different things... And by the way, I've always been indifferent to lyrics (in rock)... Whether someone talks to me about social issues, the cost of living, Satan, or the girl they just picked up, I really don’t care... It depends on how it's sung, and especially how it's played...
Best regards
Ps Those who weren't 15-18 years old during that time should refrain from commenting... Those who were and still criticize must have been a "darvo," a "punk," or a pseudo-intellectual listening to Japan and Sylvian on repeat... A loser, in short... Let alone saying: "poor youth" to the reviewer... Poor youth, I say that to him... I wonder how he must have suffered in the '80s :-))

The singles album... that goes beyond "Relics"... What can I say? The best lesson in "Psychedelia" you can find around.... Great Syd.... may the earth be light upon you.

The DS albums are all Extraordinary, including "On every street," which is very underrated, Imho... I must admit that "MM" isn't my favorite from the Band, which remains "love over gold," truly unbeatable. It’s nice to read reviews from people who, until the '80s, still made great rock... "de quej giust" as they say in my area, before "grungiate" and various "Metallate" took over...

Neu... Rock bottom will be deep for you and scaruffi: nobody has ever cared about it! After 5 minutes, it makes my milk boil!
Listen to "Lady in Satin" by Billie Holiday, go.... "Chet" by Chet Baker.... You talk to me about intimacy? About emotions? The records I mentioned give emotions, they are intimate on heavenly levels...
Listen to "Patricia Barber," "Cassandra Wilson" and I repeat, you can use Rock bottom as a paperweight (if you have it on CD).
Regards.

Guys, not to say, but the idea of the "handheld camera" (with a faux-real documentary attached) was conceived by a certain Mr. Ruggero Deodato in 1979 when he filmed a certain movie called "Cannibal Holocaust"... Mr. Deodato sued the producers of BWP and unanimously won in AMERICA! That said, I didn't really like REC, while I found Cloverfield really well done! Regards.

Very particular review! I agree with Insolito on the judgment of the album. One of the milestones of the sixties and not only... I didn’t understand the comment on Krautrock (a genre that I love, by the way)... anyway, CA-PO-LA-VO-RO.
