Scorpions Virgin Killer

Yellow Raven and In Your Park accompanied my nights as an eighteen-year-old reflecting on life... I am extremely attached to this album that I listened to incessantly between 1988 and 1990... Good times!
Scorpions In Trance

Surely an album that made it clear to the world that Germany, or rather "Cermania," didn't just mean "cosmic couriers" and bucolic-decadent tantra rock, but also germs of Punk and NWOBHM.... Songs like Robot Man or Dark Lady are truly stunning, but it's in the Ballads that the much-missed Uli Jon Roth gave his best... Assisted by perfect intersections from Meine (in that Anglo-German still present in his pronunciation... today he expresses himself much better) and accompanied by Schenker, Rarebell, and Buchholtz... For me, the Scorpions of the '70s will always remain one of the best "rock bands" on the planet... Before dropping Uli in favor of the polished Jabs and becoming the multinational Hard And Heavy they are today... Regards
P.S. I have always loved the covers of their albums, including, yes, that of Virgin Killer (the original), although that of "Lovedrive" will always hold a special place in my heart along with that of "Animal Magnetism" :-))

Excellent, excellent, written instinctively the day after September 11... with everything that followed...
Rarefied, sulfurous sounds, but less so compared to Play... More melancholy, more Soul, understood as both Spirit and style...
Great Ahab... oops... Moby.
Iron Maiden Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son
Voto:
Seventh Son has truly always been regarded as the masterpiece of Iron Maiden by both the public and critics!
Iron Maiden, by the way, can be considered the first to wear the title of Prog. Metal...
The genre was indeed born with them... then better codified by Queensryche (whom I've never been able to stand) and Dream Theater.

Pink Floyd Animals

Masterpiece no... Written with Punk in mind, quickly, in front of an audience that is now different, which Waters will spit in the face (literally)... As if Roger wanted to prove that even the Pink could "rock" fiercely... Metallic sounds, sometimes tearing, especially on Sheep... Dogs, however, may possess the most beautiful and poetic solo by Gilmour... For this, a 4... Regards

Oh my, just to stick to the '80s theme, as the great Diego (Abatantuono) would say:

Without a doubt one of the "cornerstones" of "cultured music" of the Eighties... A rare blend of Rhythm'n'blues (and not Blues), Funky, and Pop, a breath of fresh air for the time... Mick, whom I often met in a seedy bar I frequented while playing billiards and downing beers galore, is a delightful person, very, very down-to-earth... After all, he even has it in his name... With that "black" voice... Well, I think it would be worth analyzing some of the lyrics, "political"... and the "Groove they were able to convey."
Lastly, I would like to remind some that life isn't just about "rock'n'roll"... Sure, the Zeps, the Doors, Hendrix, the Floyd, etc... but that doesn't mean what happened later (following the famous punk revolution and Wave and electronic) was crap!!
Best regards

Better dad Tim at this point... No, actually better Nick Drake!

Yes, I would say that overall the reviewer agrees with me: of E, L&P, the self-titled debut and "Trilogy" should definitely be listened to (I already find Tarkus a bit over-the-top)...
