Grunge was the biggest commercial revolution in the history of rock, the true beginning of the end for many spontaneously born scenes. It was MTV’s desire to create something of its own instead of just catering to a market that wanted fun and carefree enjoyment from rock. It was a way to appear seemingly serious, attracting praise from a presumed "cultured" criticism, from the Luzzatto-Fegiz with stars and stripes. Have you noticed? All the most important and representative grunge bands were under contract with Geffen: Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Alice In Chains. True: the "revolution" of Nirvana was not an attack on despots but is equivalent to what Mussolini called "revolution" referring to the squadrist attacks of the 1920s: a reactionary movement passed off as revolutionary, but like fascism, backed and supported by big industry (important labels: Elektra and Geffen, to name a couple, but also Atlantic). Study history, because here we are truly making a certain kind of history. Nirvana like Bombacci (study and understand who this historical figure is).

In-depth review just enough for an album that is the emblem of atmospheric emptiness.

"Sweet Dreams" the best cover ever made? Are you kidding? Besides those mentioned by Fidia, there are millions better than that! Think of "Fire" by Alice Cooper, "Sympathy for the Devil" by Death SS (album "Humanomalies"), Guns N' Roses with "Mama Kin" by Aerosmith, Ozzy with "Woman" by John Lennon, Van Halen with "You Really Got Me," David Lee Roth with "Just a Gigolo" & "California Girls," Twisted Sister "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll (But I Like It)," Skid Row "Cold Gin" by Kiss, Blind Guardian "Barbara Ann," DEATH "PAINKILLER,"... Do you hear me?

Let's put an end to misunderstandings (and nonsense): I FOUND THE VALKYRIAN MYSELF!!!!!!!! (As Pippo Baudo would say): I INVENTED THE VALKYRIAN MYSELF!!! TOMMASO, I INVENTED YOU!!!!!!!

My heartfelt apologies "Valkyrian who?". My compliments to the band from Dringoli were very sincere, I assure you, as were those written anonymously by many girls and boys I know by sight. I listened to the album and it’s beautiful (I’ve already mentioned it). Yes Di Giorgio, I got the dates mixed up, sorry. Furthermore, I truly appreciate the reviewer Enrico who always writes excellent reviews, and I particularly liked this one. It was greatly appreciated by me as well as by other users like Fidia and many more. Bye bye bye.

Steve Di Giorgio?????? The Bluesman, I appreciate that you always write a lot of compliments for my reviews (and you back them up properly, which many idiots fail to do...) and that you've also used beautiful words for my work on the Valkyrian (as well as for this exceptional band's album, which will soon become widely known and appreciated). However, let's not throw out these "bombshells" and catchphrases: Steve Di Giorgio is on tour with his band and two days before the Siena date, he will obviously be quite far from those areas (unless he decides to do a concert a week, but during a tour, that would be a really foolish choice, don’t you think?). In short, guys, for the few fools who have fallen for this bad taste stunt, I reiterate that (barring unforeseen surprises) Mr. Di Giorgio will not be present at the metal event in Sinalunga (Siena). There will be excellent and interesting bands, a Black Sabbath cover band, and the Valkyrian as headliners. This clarification was necessary.
Great White Once Bitten

Come on, Bluesman, what do you care... Just let it go! I really stumbled upon an unfortunate typo, which I later corrected thanks to the help of the debaseriani. What matters, in my opinion, is that the review was appreciated and contributed to introducing Great White, a band I personally find very interesting and important. In any case, it’s spelled Page and not Paige: the latter is the pronunciation of the name. Now, given the fruitlessness of the dialogue, I’ll wrap up my comment here. The dictatorship is over, the regime has fallen, and now freedom is back: yes, including the freedom to have fun with little. Bye!

The reviewer really had the foresight to judge this band and their debut album as one of the most significant newcomers of 2005/2006. It took courage to uncover this little hidden gem, this emerging band that shows more originality than the latest Slayer and those past their prime like Obituary and Morbid Angel. I hope the music magazines have that same courage, which often are not too visionary and lack boldness. They fear taking risks, but the person who wrote this review has been nothing more than honest with those listening to the album.

Valkyrian headliner at the Sinalunga Metal Festival!!!! We have just received the great news that rewards the commitment shown by the Tuscan group in spreading their music. The band is waiting to hear the final verdict from the press regarding their debut album: reviews for "...Of Boredom and Sorrow" by Valkyrian are expected by the end of this month in specialized publications "Rock Hard," "Metal Shock," "Metal Maniacs," and on the prestigious maxi-magazine "XL" from "Repubblica." Stay tuned to this web space for even more spectacular news, coming soon.
P.S.: Filippo, I sent you an email, if you're there, give a shout.
