This is a nice album even though I prefer "Aria," "Arena," and then definitely "Silent Nation"... the latter is a lovely gem for my tastes.

For me, it would be between a 3 and a 4... but I give it a 4 in the end because it was the last album with Matos before the split, and his voice is truly outstanding.

5 is too much for this album... 5 for Angra's "Holy Land"..... and since Matos left, I prefer his career with Shaman more...

Yngwie Malmsteen Fire & Ice

Surely, my rating may seem exaggerated to many, but for me this album is fascinating in a certain way. There’s no denying that from the first Rising Force (a masterpiece) and then Marching Out, which was already more "dark" with the voice of the then Jeff Scott Soto (who I find spectacular now), in Trilogy there was a slight shift that became very clear in Odissey (Malmsteen's most commercial album). However, in Eclipse (already without that famous voice of Joy Lynn Turner) it was a little redeeming... Gradually, with Fire and Ice, Seventh Sign, Magnum Opus, and up to Face the Animal (if I'm not mistaken, featuring the great Cozy Powell on drums), which I already considered a mediocre album, not to mention the last ones, which I find pointless (excluding Concerto Suite for......), I still find this Fire... quite listenable and, in a certain aspect, unpredictable.
