Scorpions Taken By Force

I agree with Mandrocker about Malmsteen, and I invite you to listen to Dario Mollo's projects "The Cage" and "The Cage 2," featuring Tony Martin, which take a lot of influence musically from Blackmore/Rainbow... I really promote this guitarist (whom I got to know artistically a couple of months ago and I was "enlightened" after some of his pieces and solos gave me goosebumps and the same emotion I feel when I listen to Blackmore)... because, in my opinion, he is very, very underrated and unknown in our country (then I think, if in his albums he manages to have a Glenn Hughes, who as you say, you don't mess around with, a Tony Martin, who had a bit of a revival of Tony Iommi's Sabbath with "Headless Cross" and "Tyr" in the late '80s, early '90s, and a Graham Bonnett... I believe there is a "vein" of Blackmore in the soul and body of this semi-new guitarist, isn't there!!!)

...but Mollo has only redone a couple of purple/rainbow pieces...everything else is his own composition...and trust me, as far as charisma goes, this is no joke either...and I'm not talking about a guitarist who plays in cover bands...anyway, I repeat that I consider Roth a fantastic guitarist, no doubt about it, I just think we shouldn’t dwell on old glories to replace old glories, but rather give new talents the chance to make themselves known, also because they are up to the task...

...I agree with you too, Jetto... and I have nothing against Roth... on the contrary... but I was talking about a Mollo also because he's been playing since '81... and then I listed his latest productions with various singers just to show you where he is musically oriented... having a touch of modernity that Blackmore could have in some sounds (and NOT guitar passages) today... we need someone new, who doesn't stylistically stray from Blackmore (and is at his level in terms of skill), but who at the same time brings a little (but still a breath) of some contemporary sound.... try to find the CDs I mentioned before by Mollo, listen to them, and then let me know if he could be a worthy successor to Mr. Man in Black.

...when I vote for a Whitesnake/Coverdale live album like this, I can only give my all....

...I find this album very, very beautiful, even though in the Scorpions/Roth album era, I absolutely adore Fly to the Rainbow and In Trance, then Taken By Force right after, and lastly Virgin Killer (I’m not saying I don’t like it, just my own ranking, and I would give Virgin Killer a 4 as a score...)...
And I know this isn't the place for it, but since you also started talking about Morse in ...Purple!!! have you ever heard of a certain Dario Mollo? A great Italian guitarist from XXmiglia with several CDs to his name, including 2 with Glenn Hughes (Woodoo Hill Project), 2 with Tony Martin (The Cage Project), and 1 with Graham Bonnett (Elektric Zoo project)... I could see him fitting in very well with Deep Purple...
Deep Purple Perfect Strangers

...yes...but not that much AOR in "difficult to cure" (a good rock/hard rock that's also easy to grasp, but I wouldn't define it just as AOR...maybe "bent out of shape", indeed, without maybe, among the top 3 Turner)...but if you combine the 3 Rainbow/Tuner albums, the Rainbow/Bonnet, and a pinch of Rainbow/Dio, here comes "Perfect Stranger" (the Blackmore's Rainbow Purple era), certainly with a greater emphasis on keyboards/Hammond by Jon Lord, Gillan's voice (which greatly differentiates the Deep... from Rainbow)...but the guitar and composition (seems in most of the songs) is Blackmore, who is no longer, in my opinion, in the style of "Machine..." or "In Rock" (also because we are now in the '80s and American rock/hard rock had taken over European epic rock) but more commercial/euroamerican (excuse this statement) and then, I repeat, the production is Glover (like other Deep and Rainbow albums)...and I believe all this is felt in PERFECT STRANGER, which remains for me a great and beautiful album...

...I tell you that in my opinion it's not Kitaro's best album, also because for me MANDALA or DREAM or GAIA or ENCHANTING EVENING or THINKING OF YOU or SILK ROAD SUITE or MILLENNIA or KOJIKI or ASTRAL VOYAGE or... he has an infinite discography... but the latest ones are a bit repetitive... even the very last one, SPIRITUAL GARDEN... and just to tell you that with 2000 CDs at home, I also listen to music, even when I sleep, besides from the butcher, from the tobacconist or while I'm having sex...

...since we should be talking about music, I wonder why we have to approach it so lightly... or anyway... it's not the sexual terminology that scares me, because I could be even worse... but certainly not here... it doesn't seem the "place" for it.

...x punisher...at most evaluate the album by saying you think it’s awful (because it’s clear you don’t like it), but don’t review it like this...because that would be unacceptable.
