Jean-Pierre Jeunet Una Lunga Domenica Di Passioni
Voto:
Jeunet is a very unique person even in person, and this uniqueness is reflected in his films. Even if this movie is very beautiful, perhaps it's the most "Hollywoodian"....a review that's a bit like a soap opera...

x Argonauta....I agree with you about the Spirit pieces, but I find this one qualitatively superior, as it feels more at ease in playing and singing....of the three works (which are three since one is a reissue), this is the best in my opinion, a little gem, even though Distant Bell comes right after (traditional and non-traditional Celtic songs, rearranged in "ambient/folk").

...sorry, I correct myself, the songs are 11 x about 59 minutes....

x Slim...trust me that this has a bit more modern sounds, as I mentioned, the guitarist has played with Ronnie James Dio, and the guitar is much more "raw"...he's not the genius of Blackmore but he's an excellent guitarist, let's say it's hard rock, with slight, and I emphasize slight metal nuances without distorting what Whitesnake were...it’s worth a listen...the songs are almost all over 5 minutes long (10 songs for about 59 minutes)...so definitely a CD of "substance."

...for Sister....I honestly didn't say it, but "poison" really has nothing to do with this CD, and in my opinion, she could have omitted it, but she wanted a cover and she chose this one made in her own way...as for the rest, nothing new, it's true, musically speaking in general, it’s true (but what's new today?), and in some pieces it might even recall Sarah Brightman, but I believe it’s the energy and the pathos, the atmosphere of the CD that makes the difference. However, it’s clear and logical that she could not entirely disregard the Nightwish style, here in a softer form, also because with her first solo album, she did the same, but targeting only the Finnish or Nordic market, let's say a niche one, and the fact that I have it, or Lovelorn or that we all have it is because we like her, and almost everyone buys online, but to go international she had to be "competitive," she had to follow a tested path, in my opinion due to market and record company laws and obligations. I repeat, I find this CD well done (the production is spectacular for me), and finally, and this is what matters to me, finally HER VOICE IS THERE...a great voice, that was only half or three-quarters present in Nightwish due to contract requirements or because it was less mature, I don’t know, but it didn’t fully express her gift (which I reiterate, is the voice)...I expect from her in time even a CD of lyrical music, it will take time because now is the moment to get known to the masses, and this is her best way....ah ps: Ciaran's well, the first time I heard it I thought...what the heck is this? then listening to it again I found a vague experimentalism that resembled a bit to Diamanda Galas...and I told myself "...wow!!!"...because Tarja, in my opinion, can over time, if she plays her cards right, show that she can represent every musical genre, beyond metal, lyrical, pop, and pop dance (with Schiller), even the path of experimentalism, which would make her more artistically complete...and sorry for my awful review...and for this intrusion again...you have every freedom of musical and critical judgment....everything is constructive.
