If I'm not mistaken, CHI FERMERA'LA MUSICA is from 1981 and SINCE YOU BEEN GONE is from 1979... so it seems that it's the Pooh who need to be careful about plagiarism and pay the SIAE...

I only respond to the fact of my vote for this CD... I won’t deny that I was looking forward to it a lot, and sometimes, however, the wait can be a double-edged sword, in the sense that expectations can disappoint... Now, for me, just the first song of the CD is worth 5 stars, not counting the two ghost tracks, regardless of whether (with all due respect) poor Valentina is still alive or not. But I voted according to my humble musical tastes and comparing what the Italian market is "offering" me right now, and this CD moved me, and you can think what you want...

Two and a half years later, I reevaluate even more positively "Slaves and Masters"... great Blackmore.

Great CD, like "A Blessing in Disguise" and "The Acoustic Verses"... the live DVD based on "The Acoustic Verses" is exceptional, featuring the entire album performed at the foot of a dam in Norway, if I'm not mistaken... and it's a shame they disbanded after this concert/event.

Well written review, but too negative without reasons... for me a beautiful CD... music moves forward and a band cannot and should not stop at their masterpiece (as they say) which could be ()... So for me, here we have excellent music of great quality and energy...
Roger Waters Amused To Death

Well yes, it’s an opera, but Waters is always Waters... and those who loved The Final Cut will find some similar orchestrations in ça Ira... there’s a cameo part by Waters in the third act... a fantastic album... without great ambitions (it can vaguely remind one of Puccini’s style), in the sense that it is an opera, yes, but very accessible and highly melodic... a must-have in the Waters discography...

Pink Floyd A Momentary Lapse Of Reason

Yes, even Radio Kaos was not a huge step for Waters, indeed!!! Maybe better "A Momentary..." because Waters musically wanted to lean too much on the '80s, even if, during those same years, Waters was still releasing around 25 minutes of composition in the soundtrack of the post-apocalyptic animated film "When the Wind Blows": and that was already something else... but it is then with the arrival of "Amused To Death" in '92 that, in my opinion, blows away any doubt about his renewed compositional abilities, even if it offered nothing new, but highly inspired to create a masterpiece, which, compared to "The Division Bell" of '94 by "Pink Gilmour," has no comparison, because "Division..." remains a decent album but does not shout miracle for a return of new and original compositional creativity...
