Duran Duran Duran Duran (The Wedding Album)

Their version of "Femme Fatale" is definitely superior to the original by the Velvet Underground.

In my opinion, a misstep, "Rio" was bubbly, elegant, and also a bit kitschy in its synth-pop-rock, while this one is marked by a sound that's too homogeneous and blended by an overly intrusive production. The drums have a plasticky and distant sound, and the songs are too tangled. Nevertheless, above average are "Tiger Tiger" (very Japan), "New Moon On Monday" (very enjoyable), "The Reflex," and the last track.
Mike Oldfield Ommadawn
Voto:
Oldfield has really produced some junk starting from "Discovery" (excluding "The Lake") and "Islands," which has absolutely nothing, then in the '90s something with "Heaven's Open" (not "Suite From The Balcony," which is pure boredom) and especially what might be his masterpiece "The Songs Of Distant..". Then the void with the various reworks of the tubular bells, but he remains a remarkable artist nonetheless.
Rino Gaetano E Io Ci Sto
Voto:
In this album, you can feel that Gaetano was starting to take different paths from those he had followed until then. The title track, "Metà Africa Metà Europa," and "Ti Ti Ti Ti" are very beautiful pieces, while the rest may be a bit too filler. It's a shame he didn't go further.

Genesis Genesis Box 1976-1982

Vinyl is always the best... even if the early works of Genesis might have lacked a bit in production. After their time at ABBA's Polar Studios in Stockholm, to learn how to set up a recording studio, their records became better from a production standpoint, though perhaps a bit less in quality. Still, "Duke" sounds different, and you can tell.

..in this tour he also performed "La mano", "Il vento caldo dell'estate" and of course "Per Elisa" but only as an encore. If he were interested in commercial success, he would have already re-proposed live his revolutionary debut album, "Capo Nord" or "Alice"; however, he should release the new work of unreleased songs 11 years after "Exit".

Iside, here is the definitive version of "La cura" by Franco Battiato; it took you to turn a beautiful song into an absolute masterpiece. The piano intro is chilling.

The drummer of the "Primitives" was Pick Withers, a brilliant drummer who later played with the "Dire Straits."
