the episode where Lamù and Mendo's mothers go to war, complete with private militias and a final atomic bomb on Ataru's house. And then there's the clash between the teachers wanting to impose a school cafeteria and the students... this series is just too amazing!!

Paul McCartney Tripping The Live Fantastic
Voto:
The polished Paul is that of the '80s, lacking the vital energy of the '70s, and Macca is a bit tired. Anyway, "McCartney II" listened to in its original double version is incredible, pure bliss. "Tug Of War" is decent, "Pipes Of Peace" aside from the title track is just leftover, "Press To Play" is interesting but ruined by the added B-sides meant to save it from sinking, "Flowers In The Dirt" is a top-notch album.

"I like 'Wings Over America' the most; this marks Paul’s return to the stage after 10 years since the last tour with the Wings. McCartney is virtually unknown in Italy, as is the case with all music, and not just."

You are mistaken, Lennon and McCartney reconnected as early as '74. During John's time in LA, they recorded a bootleg with Wonder and others. Then towards the end of the '70s, McCartney frequently visited Lennon in his apartment at the Dakota in New York. One night in '79, I believe, they watched a TV broadcast where the host asked, live on air, if they would be willing to appear in the studio together (considering it impossible). John and Paul thought it over and nearly actually showed up at the nearby studios. The relationship between McCartney and Lennon in the later period is documented in a film.

But it's a decent song, fitting well into a polished work like "Flowers In The Dirt"... but it's a bit too artificial for my tastes.

In fact, the various magazines that want to pass themselves off as purveyors of great musical culture (Rolling Stone above all) haven't even listened to this album, giving it a very low rating; but Rolling Stone was the magazine that panned "Dark Side Of The Moon" in '73 and is now only capable of keeping zombies like U2 and Depeche Mode alive, featuring them on the cover every time they release their always-similar LP.
