Really, that's the point.. they know how to play and do it the right way.

They had to end with "All That You Can Leave Behind," incredibly radio-friendly yet dignified. Then nothingness.
Steve Hackett At the Edge of Light

With all due respect, the last album of his that I like is "Cured". If Banks has overstepped into lightness, he has fossilized on the same sounds. It pains me to say it, but his departure was a boon for the other three.

I love this LP. I can't be objective.

Oh my God, there has been worse, any Rai fiction about Gaetano, for example. Here the problem is the emptiness, empty everything except perhaps the last few final minutes. Anyway, the Queen were four, Mercury was 1/4 of the band and May and Taylor were keen to emphasize this, rightly so, especially since Taylor saved the day in the 80s just like Deacon did. I find it ridiculous that the part discussing the composition of "We Will Rock You" is pushed to 1980 to show that May suddenly decided to take the helm... which isn’t true because it was Taylor and Deacon with "Radio Ga Ga" and "I Want to Break Free" who brought everything back to a more profitable path after the flop of "Hot Space" and the chaos of 1983. Anyway, an honest band that wrote beautiful things, great live but they were a band of nerds for pimple-faced kids, by their own admission.
Denny Laine Anyone Can Fly

Pleasant album. Denny couldn't pull together the tour for which he left the Wings. Unfortunately, he was a supporting act, very talented but still just a supporting act.
Denny Laine Hometown Girls

A page that is finally different. Unfortunately, Denny Laine was unable to achieve any noteworthy commercial success as a solo artist.

I just need to remember the majestic introduction of "Robin Hood" at the horn that leads to the ride of the synt.

Well... by now they have nothing more to say as a band for me. They've become a parody of the last ELP... who were already a parody of the early ELP.
