The Beatles Abbey Road

The curious thing is that contemporary works are cited alongside this one by artists who are crazy about "Abbey Road," the album is historic for countless reasons, one above all being the successful attempt to provide a proper closure to their career after the conflicts of the ill-fated "Get Back" project that sunk in a sea of arguments; it’s their swan song and also contains the first ghost track in history, "Her Majesty."
Duran Duran All You Need Is Now
Voto:
Duran Duran have had a career of continuous ups and downs, with their first two albums being very beautiful yet simply labeled by critics as a "girl band," which caused them a lot of suffering, leading them to dissolve after the inconsistent "Seven And The Ragged Tiger." Then came their rebirth as a trio, with excellent releases like "Notorious" and "Big Thing," followed by more low-quality rubbish until "The Wedding Album," and I’ll stop there.

I prefer the delightful chaos of "Tusk."
Suzanne Vega Suzanne Vega

A remarkable debut album, it brings back the singer-songwriter sound of the '60s and '70s in the full '80s, reinterpreting it with greater musical insights, especially with the subsequent "Solitude Standing" and "Days Of Open Hand." Amazing Suzanne :)

Woody Allen Basta Che Funzioni

Nice film, the return to the USA for a brief moment coincides with a movie that heavily references the cinema of the same author. A classic Woody-style comedy, Boris is him and the ending is a self-reference, "Hannah and Her Sisters."

I eagerly await the reissue of "London Town"; there are several unreleased tracks from the Caribbean sessions in addition to the well-known "Waterspout". In particular, I want to see if there is any footage related to the recordings on the three ships "El Toro", "Wanderlust", and I can't remember the last one. For "Back To The Egg", they should release the documentary about the "Rockorchestra" and the promotional film for the album, but I would also love to see footage from the '79 tour; they were all recorded, and it seems to me that the last one was even filmed.

Returning to the reissues of Lennon and McCartney... reissuing Lennon’s catalog for the umpteenth time is a pure and simple operation by EMI and Yoko Ono to scrape the bottom of the barrel since John, alas, has nothing more to say. Moreover, it is unnecessary because the entire catalog was freshly reissued (if I remember correctly, in 2004). For Paul, things are VERY different; as noted, all the reissues available until recently were 17 years old, and the "Paul McCartney Collection" was decidedly disappointing, with poorly curated editions. For instance, they did not reproduce the album artwork but only the cover, which was additionally hidden by the internal catalog. It was a poorly managed and very cost-effective operation that faltered in many areas, particularly the sparse booklets; the edition of "Wild Life," for example, only includes a reproduction of the A-side and B-side stickers of the vinyl on the inside. The "Archive" operation, however, aims to be the most complete and definitive reissue of Paul and Wings' catalog, with editions meticulously curated for all tastes. Those interested only in the original version can get the single CD edition that faithfully reproduces the artwork in a cardboard format.

With Battisti, Laurence Juber played, in "Donan Selvaggia Donna," the guitarist from Wings. Most likely, Paul is familiar with Battisti's "white" albums, also because they were recorded in London and are cult among industry insiders.
