Sophie Ellis-Bextor Shoot From the Hip
Voto:
Cute little disc
Woody Allen To Rome With Love

Rome is not his city, a city that in American cinema is only stereotyped and endlessly copied from that gem of "Roman Holiday." Allen was supposed to shoot in Venice or Genoa, cities much closer to him, but the money...

Beautiful album!! I saw her live ten days ago in Genoa at an acoustic concert with Lanza and no one else... stunning!! An almost secret gig.

The photo is full of emotion, melancholy, and sadness when you think that it will be seen again only in 1985.

The story of the film goes like this: Cameron wanted to make a movie about the ship, just about the ship, but no one would ever give him the money, so he showed up at 20th Century Fox with a book on the Titanic and thrust it under the noses of the producers saying, "this ship + Romeo and Juliet," and they coughed up the cash. The film is technically almost perfect, the best cinematic reconstruction to date of the disaster; there are mistakes, but only Cameron and a few others in the world can recognize them.

What an album! I have the tape and I used to listen to it on the beach with my old walkman....excellent and heartfelt review!
Paul McCartney Kisses On The Bottom
Voto:
He had been wanting to record an album like this for a long time; it's a classy yet marginal work in his discography, and the piano by Krall is beautiful. Curiously, it's the only album where he doesn't play a single note, he being a well-known multi-instrumentalist who usually takes center stage. The next one should be a hard rock album, though.
George Harrison What Is Life
Voto:
Great album and wonderful song. If I have the time, I will write a review of George's solo tour from '74. I wouldn't underestimate Ringo too much; he's someone who has always challenged himself. I recommend the early solo LPs, which critics have described as truly surprising.
Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso Capolinea
Voto:
Disappointing live album, poorly cut together (see "Capolinea")...oh well...
Mike Rutherford Acting Very Strange
Voto:
But indeed I prefer those who dare, even if they end up recording crap, rather than those who rest on what they have built before. Banks and Rutherford dared, they made mistakes but they tried to do different things, they never bowed to the fans and this is a point in their favor.
