Mike Oldfield Crises
Voto:
Beautiful album, the balance between suite and songs works optimally, already experimented with in the previous and remarkable "Five Miles Out". Too bad that from this point on Mike will start to veer too much towards the commercial, hitting rock bottom in 1989... then the artistic rebirth. Nice review!!

Review full of inaccuracies and clichés... a courageous and irritating album.

I bought it enthusiastically on vinyl, an anachronistic abyssal ball even in '75... better the next one, "Defector."

The cover is identical to that of "Hold Out" by Jackson Browne from 1980! I have all her records... I'll get this one too, but "Safe Trip Home" is the best for me.

I love "Tener è la Notte," I haven't finished it... too inconsistent in writing for me.

Vibe, Sentieri Notturni by Mancinelli, and Master Mixo are must-haves. I also want to add Capital Singles Club by Luca De Gennaro and Capital in the World...

Have you ever tried to make vinyl play? 5, no doubt we need more records like that.

The box set released about ten years ago that collected material from '69 to '79 is much better. This one is a bit self-congratulatory. I was fortunate enough to see the last "Celebration Day" in the cinema, but it's a pity that no sound technician was called in to set up the sound properly. They are immense even at nearly seventy years old.
