Let's say that Paul's catalog needed a good restoration; certain approximations are not acceptable for Ram and Wild Life. I criticize the slow pace; few titles have been released since 2010.

I miss her, I really like her and I adore the four previous LPs. I was lucky enough to hear her in an acoustic live show in Genoa, a wonderful evening.

I apologize for the repetition "an idea"... it slipped my mind.

Exceptional drummer, unmistakable and personal touch. In the '80s, he had the flaw of saying yes to anyone who wanted to play with him, which made him a bit too much of a jack-of-all-trades. While his excellent work with Genesis and Brand X is taken for granted, I also recommend checking out his collaborations with Frida and Robert Plant for a deeper appreciation. As a solo artist, I enjoy him less; his sounds are a bit too polished for my taste.
Alice Alice canta Battiato

"Stolen Jewels" is Alice's tribute to the one who rediscovered her and gave her confidence; in '79 she was almost about to throw in the towel and couldn't find anyone to produce her music. Alice has many periods in her career, and the one under Battiato's wing is the third ('80-'85). From "Park Hotel" onwards, she goes beyond and, in my opinion, surpasses the master with "Il Sole Nella Pioggia" and "Mezzogiorno sulle Alpi."

Album composed in the living room with the Drum Machine. Tony Banks argues that composing with programmed rhythm makes songs flat and empty, and he was right since he has always complemented the classic acoustic drums (see "Duchess" and "Man on the Corner"). Better than that mess from before, but in the end it's too simple and too cold. For me, they've run out of ideas; you can make an album without drums if you’re playing alone in your room, not when you have a band.

Unique work.

Carbon copy of the previous one, here with a hint of beard and without the big hat. "Peppino" is saved, the rest is just junk.
Antonello Venditti Prendilo tu questo frutto amaro

With the beard, he has lost his mind and dignity. With him, we have never moved past 1984, "Peppino" the only listenable note.

Seen live years ago, before the noticeable decline began. Nothing special, quite bland. If you want to listen to records where there is the perfect marriage between exceptionally talented musicians and an exceptional voice, go listen to Alice's trilogy: "Park Hotel," "Il Sole nella Pioggia," "Mezzogiorno sulle Alpi."
