Gilbert O'Sullivan Alone Again (Naturally)
Voto:
Beautiful song, recently performed by Diana Krall in her "Wallflower."
Edward Hopper Two Comedians

His painting fascinates because it is that which is not shown to impress and suggest. There is a unique, emotional dynamism.
Duran Duran Seven and the Ragged Tiger

I liked it, the first two are excellent but this one has always seemed to me like a mess they worked on too much, and indeed they will separate there soon to come back as three with "Notorius", which is, in my opinion, an excellent album.
Antonello Venditti Le donne
Voto:
"he doesn't decide the collections," and for that matter, he doesn't even decide his own records anymore. When you sell yourself completely to a major label, you no longer have any decision-making power and you completely lose your artistic freedom, if you ever had any. I'm sorry, but Venditti was already considered a sellout and someone who was all about the money by the mid-'70s; he managed to hold it together until 1982, and then he completely ruined himself. But he's not the only one in Italy; Rossi, Nannini followed right after him... if you don’t have the balls.
Antonello Venditti Circo Massimo
Voto:
The worst sports anthem ever, auditory trash. The live performance is incomplete, he’s already rotten and sold to the core here, "Eleonora" the only interesting moment, the rest either he plagiarized or he shoved "Roma" in the middle.
Giorgio Gaber Libertà Obbligatoria
Voto:
I recommend reading, if you haven't already, Luporini's text "G. Vi racconto Gaber". The genesis of each work, the lyrics were by Luporini but originated from hours and hours of summer conversations with Giorgio, while Gaber took care of the music, proving to be a great composer.
Giorgio Gaber Anche per oggi non si vola
Voto:
Gaber had to be seen; unfortunately, none of the "historic" shows were filmed. The little that is available comes from rare RAI programs broadcast at improbable times back then. There isn't any footage of Gaber performing "Quando è moda è moda," which is absurd. The spirit can be captured in the records, but as Luporini recalled, you had to go to the theater, because that’s where Gaber was truly Gaber. In this show, the most revolutionary and heartfelt song is "Buttare lì Qualcosa," an essay on how everything should be: teaching, politics, love, friendship...

In my opinion, they have carried the weight of being labeled as a "boy band," which they have never been. There is a strong influence from Japan in their early records, those somewhat decadent and seductive art-deco atmospheres, but Le Bon doesn't have the right voice to interpret them at their best. That said, the first two LPs are worth it because they are excellent albums; the third one is decidedly hard to digest for me, and I've never understood it. "Notorious" from 1986 is another great record, then they get lost among superfluous and horrifying things until 1993, and then lost again. Nonetheless, they deserve to be listened to without prejudice; if only a "Rio" would come out today, perhaps...
Peter Gabriel Live in Bologna Unipol Arena 21/11/14

Unfortunately, he has been sitting on it for years, he went on about wanting to redo The Lamb with Genesis, and on the occasion of the album's fortieth anniversary, he didn't perform even one song.

She is a very open person when it comes to answering intelligent and sensible questions. She also mentioned that she invited the Park Hotel group to play by sending some demos; she didn't expect them to accept, but they all came. It was wonderful to participate in these presentation meetings, and I realized how ignorant Italian music journalism can be; when you have an artist like her in front of you, you have a thousand questions to ask.
