Joni Mitchell Shadows and Light
Voto:
The greatest composer in the history of music deserved better-conceived passages. I'm sorry, but the grade is negative. The album is legendary, like all the notes/words recorded before by Joni, starting with "Joni Mitchell" from '68.
Susanne Sundfør Ten Love Songs
Voto:
It's a great album, remarkable in every way, one of the few that can already be labeled as a "classic" just a year after its release. She is definitely ready for public success, and the critics have already crowned her. Also impressive live, although for now, unfortunately, the concerts are limited to Northern Europe.
Fleetwood Mac Mirage
Voto:
Fleetwood Mac are a band with many faces; their early blues-rock LPs are essential. Then there's the middle phase, which I don't know in depth. The polished Mac are enjoyable; McVie and Fleetwood enrich the tracks with their class. I don't love this, but "Tusk" is turbulent and I like it. I recommend "The Visitor" by Fleetwood, 1981 featuring guest George Harrison.
Debbie Harry Koo Koo
Voto:
Chic with Debbie on vocals. I've never liked it, too chaotic and not spontaneous enough. The cover is magnificent.
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso Banco
Voto:
Original vinyl signed by everyone, my dad organized their live show in Ovada in '75.
Yes Heaven & Earth
Voto:
The previous one, which retrieved a piece from the "Drama" outtake, was better. It featured the 1980 lineup with Horn producing and not on vocals. The album was great, then they made this useless epitaph.
Joe Weisberg The Americans
Voto:
Beautiful review, London doesn't disappoint. Well done!
Giorgio Gaber Polli d'allevamento
Voto:
There is no footage capturing Giorgio singing "Quando è moda è moda," the most provocative song in music history. A crime.
Alice & Franco Battiato Live In Perugia Palaevangelisti 14/03/16
Voto:
I lost it, sold out everywhere. Anyway, Alice is the author of one of the best triptychs in women's music worldwide: "Park Hotel," "Il Sole Nella Pioggia," and "Mezzogiorno sulle Alpi." Three albums rated 5 balls. For me, together with Kate Bush and the master Joni Mitchell, they embody Women's Song par excellence, not to mention Carole King, of course.
