In truth, I was the one who used the adjective "dated" a bit too much earlier on... Koopa put it better by saying "aged poorly." However, in my opinion, even here, despite the undeniable progress in sound, we still flounder in the relative and somewhat random realm of subjectivity and personal sensitivity. Yet, if we focus solely on the musical aspect, we overlook something that I find wonderful about this particular album (even more so than "C.S.A.R.", for example) that was also left out of the review: the lyrics by Panella (I disagree with grouping them alongside Burroughs’ aforementioned technique) and their meeting with Battisti's music. There are beautiful passages, in my opinion, stylistically akin to a certain contemporary poetry that is playful-enigmatic-brilliantly tricky, which truly deserve attention. For the curious, a random link: link rotto

I read the review... that one's nice too! :) [Why am I exhausted and happy? Why? Is there a limbo of dementia beyond depression? I need to listen to this record again... and I know it won't save me! What a wonder! :D]

Praise to Kozelek, for his first review and for reviewing this historic band. Less to the anonymous sniper above (documenting a review, especially of a band like this one, which not everyone knows here and has strangely never been reviewed, is not copying).

In any case, managing to set lyrics like those of "Tu non ti pungi più" or "Alcune noncuranze" (in this album), at times so intricate and metrically daring, was a challenge that Battisti, all in all, managed to rise to. A bit dated, yes, but there's something about this record that makes me never tire of listening to it again. And I give it a 5! :P

And who wrote that someone supported it? I was denying possible hypotheses. Who can, I repeat, hypothesize the intentions of an artist (if they ever exist)? If one considers that Battisti expressed himself only through records and did not give interviews, one can only reason based on the outcomes and taste. All subjective.

I think the same as koopa: Battisti experimented with other paths within musical communication, ones that were alien to him before, but all of this was done in isolation, without calculation and as an artist; I like to continue believing (but who could ever say and interpret his intentions?) that he didn't care much about the general public, nor that he was labeled a courageous champion of experimentation, nonconformism, or anything else. It was a "discreet" provocation, something intentionally "other" and, I agree again, dated in its outcomes. In any case, I really like this album: the poetic-sound suggestions that the lyrics provide at certain points are truly curious and pleasant.

I'm emerging from my aphasia after listening to this album, and all I can say is: "style," "class"... "what a marvel"!
And the review is no less! :)

(I apologize for any apparent contradictions mentioned above, but I think it’s understandable). I commend Simone for the choice of the album and I'll leave it at that.
