Jim White Drill A Hole In That Substrate And Tell Me What You See

Class and style in your precious "rece" and this Jim White who, reading what you write so well, should really please me! What a wonder! :)

I'm even more late than Hal... how beautiful "Tom the Model" is! Of a heart-wrenching beauty. I'm rushing to buy the album... I must..!

I only heard the single you mentioned and at first glance I didn’t mind it... If he’s made a great comeback as they say, that can only please me...(he’s one of the legends of my dull adolescence). Although often not well-loved, the fact remains that Morrissey has written some truly wonderful lyrics... If sometimes people didn’t settle for just listening to the music, but allowed themselves to be captivated by the charm of the words as well, maybe...
P.S.: The cover is quite awful, you're right...

I write like this :) and it seems to me that it’s Italian... Not everyone can like a review, nor has anyone prescribed you to read it. Anyway, I wanted to point out an album, not write to get a rating... (I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to this system)... Of course, if you knew Cohen, you might check whether the "rece" is relevant or not to the album... which seems to me to be the most important thing...

Emily isn't mad... :) but you can always ask... especially if you like an album... (and hey, don't take it out on me...) Symbad deserves credit for reviewing Stan Ridgway, who was missing on de-baser... if I'm not mistaken...

You can't refer to Stan Ridgway as "'sto tizio"... Just thinking about "The big heat" and his previous career along with his solo work...

How is it that Stan Ridgway is not very well-known here!?!?

But who has ever doubted that Cave is a live lion??? I'm referring to the judgments of Turkish on the album in question... Even if you adore an artist, you have to be ready to acknowledge the more lackluster moments of their work (if any)... "Nocturama" is different from other albums (I can recognize that too), but it's still "in a minor key" compared to what Cave is probably capable of... as much as he has always shown a remarkable ability to renew himself and maintain quality, this time he was a bit (I said "a bit," is that clear?) below expectations... There are good tracks on the album... but in several he somewhat (not brilliantly) imitates himself, almost as if he had forgotten the heights he is capable of reaching.
