I say that the album isn't great if we really want to compare it to Images and Words and Metropolis Part 2 (which I've been listening to incessantly for years). However, I think it's nice, catchy... in line with Train of Thought. Sure, they are not the DT of old, but as the reviewer rightly pointed out, they enjoy the din din and look down on everyone... and to think that there are people who buy the original album only to discover they got half-conned... oh well... anyway, I feel like I've heard too much electronics on some tracks, and also on "Never Enough," those who say that LaBrie sounds like the singer of Muse while singing are right... finally, I don't know if you've noticed, but the beginning of the song "Octavarium" is strikingly similar to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" by Pink Floyd... or am I wrong??? They could have definitely had a little more inventiveness.
