but how fucking beautiful is "eraser"??? does anyone know how damn devastating that pounding drum is that kicks in at the start, that guitar buzzing like a drugged fly?

I agree with the review: Cornell and company would be better off locking themselves in a spa or going grape harvesting with Albano in Cellino Saint Mark (just to be international, as per my usual style). They've pulled off the usual American FM rock nonsense (that trucker music for fat guys on an endless crusade against diabetes), barely saving themselves in the corner and revealing themselves to be John Bon Jovi in discount shoes, outfit, and handbag.

anyway, let’s move on. Just to talk about my own business, this album kept me company all summer long: a mix of Paul Weller in "The Jam" style, the MC5, Queens of the Stone Age, and again Paul Weller when he was playing "My Ever Changing Moods."

mmm..I need to look for (of course I hope to find those two or three Tapeworm songs that I've been searching for ages)....anyway, there are some pretty good covers on "radiant decay" too (except for those that slip into the most exasperating pathos)!!
