Propellerheads DecksandDrumsandRockandRoll
Voto:
a great album, I especially enjoy spybreak and history repeating, the one done with shirley bassey. It’s been a long time since I listened to them, I think they deserve a revival. the propellerheads, the klf, meat beat manifesto..ah, so many memories!
Red Hot Chili Peppers Stadium Arcadium
Voto:
The Red Hot Chili Peppers? Another one of my myths crumbles. But let's not burn the poor Red Hot or the Pearl Jam or anyone else. It’s the same old story, as old as the world: it's all the fault of the music industry. Nowadays, qualities like genius or originality seem to be worth less than nothing; what really matters to the major record labels is whether it's possible to turn the artist's creativity into "product" and how "marketable" that product is. Otherwise, why would the most interesting musical innovations be with independent labels?
Cows Taint Pluribus Taint Unum
Voto:
"I Cows fully belong among the crazy ones who enlivened the American alternative scene of the 80s. We miss them." Oh yeah, we love 80s! Congratulations, fantastic style: you manage to bring together a large amount of information without making the reading boring or heavy; on the contrary, it becomes a delight!

Well, yes, let's face it, Jim Reid's ruddy face has a typically Scottish charm: like that of Ewan McGregor when, in "Trainspotting," he "takes" to the bottle of vodka only to deliver his tirade against Mother Scotland :)

wouldn't need no mojo pin to keep me satisfied.....
The Subways Young For Eternity
Voto:
I would be in favor of an outright rejection, both when it comes to the subways and the departures, and many others. But all in all, I agree with what you’re saying: let’s try to see the glass as half full; who knows, maybe these kids will improve...
Cocteau Twins Lullabies To Violaine
Voto:
I like this review because it speaks through images: this is definitely the best way to describe the music of the Cocteau Twins. Well done!

Standing deliration: and I want, And I want, some candy talkin'! I’ll have to dance for another two months in a row, olé! Too bad I heard Candy with embarrassing delay; if it hadn't been for Mr. Marychain, it would have never happened, alas.

standing ovation for Odra: Psycho is the album that represented something for the eighties, the true contribution of the Jesus to rock. The search continues, but do you know what happened to my mule?? Let me tell you: my mule turned into one of the flies from David Cronenberg's buzzing phalanx. Unfortunately, it suffered from rheumatic fever, tonsillitis, endocarditis, joint rheumatism: it had caught St. Vitus' dance, at least that's what they call it. It all started with changes in character and behavior; later, choreic movements arose, involuntary, sudden, and irregular movements of the hands, limbs, and trunk, accompanied by hypotonia and various degrees of psychiatric disturbances. So I took it to the emergency room where there was John Fante and...and...and one thing led to another...and we found ourselves on Cwmdonkin Drive in Swansea.... St. Vitus' dance heals in one or two months, often with aftereffects: tics, tremors, anxiety, emotional lability.
