Alice Cooper School's Out

Reznor supported Manson because he likes human cases...
Killing Joke Night Time

great page. and jaz coleman is simply the most fascinating character in rock history. I too started my quest for the "joke that kills" from love like blood to reach that crazy diamond thrown into the jaws of rock in 1980 which is the self-titled "killing joke."

"I'm the resurrectiooooooon." Every time I listen to this record, my heart skips a beat for a million reasons. It was 1989, Madchester reigned supreme, and I still had milk on my lips. Richey James Edwards was making proclamations with his Manic Street Preachers. I still haven't decided whether to side with him or Ian Brown. But what does it matter?

here, indeed: if Marilyn Manson had even just 2% of Alice Cooper's charisma, he would be getting it on like a hedgehog... @ Fidia: "Portrait Of An American Family"? I need to listen to it again.

Thom Yorke The Eraser

I really liked it, even though it's a bit repetitive. But on the other hand, I've never seen Thom Yorke in the role of "innovator."

"spoiled kids who vegetate in front of MTV" (holy words). Alice Cooper is definitely among the figures for whom I hold the greatest devotion. I completely agree with you, especially regarding Marilyn Manson: practically a rag doll in the hands of the majors, someone who shamelessly mimics both Alice Cooper and Nivek Ogre, an individual with the same charisma as an ashtray, and listening to his "music" is as boring as waiting in line at the post office for how trivial and predictable it is. Antichrist Superstar? I’ll be repetitive, but behind that album, surely Brian Warner's best work, was Trent Reznor (consult the rock encyclopedia entry on "genius"), so it wasn't even entirely his doing: in fact, after the departure of the nin's leader, Manson started releasing nothing but crap, or at best, crap covers, focusing more on stage antics than on music (realizing that the latter isn’t his forte).
