surely among my top five favorite albums. how can I forget the catharsis of new dawn fades, the dark atmospheres of "she's lost control"? the new wave sketch of Day Of the Lord and one of the most beautiful songs ever, Disorder??? In all of this, the counterpart to this clear music for alienated minds was Ian Curtis's darkly tinted singing and lyrics (heights like these have perhaps only been reached by Nick Cave) and his poetry. Maybe only Jeopardy by The Sound and Flowers of Romance by the Pil move me this much in the dark wave.
