Great film "Requiem For A Dream": immense in its Dostoevskyan tragedy. It's a shame it's a bit too "music video-like."

@Mariaelena: don't bring up situations that are unrelated to this discussion and respond to the criticisms directed at you in this context. Don’t bring up old and very old stories, and don’t act as the champion of the debaser community, but address your reviews and your comments.

@Kataklisma: I was referring to the fact that you were deducing some personality traits of Mariaelena from her way of writing and you were doing it in a rather mean and cutting manner. I hate "netiquette" and censorship, but at least a bit of respect is needed, even when our interlocutor doesn't seem to know what "respect" means.

@Mariaelena: so, are you going to reply? I only have another fifteen minutes to possibly respond to you again, you know, at nine thirty Dad puts me in a straitjacket and locks me in a dark room...

"She insists on trying to project an image of herself as a wise, mature, and sensitive person, clearly light-years away from her true personality. This becomes evident with extreme ease both from her repeated acts of violating the Italian language and from the content and (painful) tone of her supposedly superior comments. I repeat my invitation to desist from the systematic trivialization of music that the young lady operates through her illegible 'reviews': someone should take her on a trip." ---> Kataklisma, excuse me for a moment, can we leave out the insults towards the person? Okay, critiques of her writing style are one thing, but can we at least every once in a while give a good example of civility and stop with the petty, venomous criticisms? Thank you very much.

It's also true, Trell, that the story of the nickname could lead to unpleasant situations. To resolve it, we would simply need to keep mutual respect among users in mind. But I realize that this is a beautiful and good utopia.

"Don't think you have a monopoly on sensitivity just because you've had some tough experiences. I'm letting you know that everyone has them, and since we don't know each other personally, we have no idea what our lives and experiences have been like." ---> I agree. And then in communities (DeBaser is a community, isn't it clear to everyone???) the responsibility for what is written should be attributed to the nickname and not to the person behind the nickname. When I express a judgment, I must take into account the user's nickname I'm referring to, not the person behind that nickname. Otherwise, where would the horizontality of the network be?

Then, if it were necessary, I remind you that my comments were about your writing style and the review, and they were certainly not directed at the user Mariaelena. Your comments, on the other hand, were directed at the user RegularJoan, doesn’t that seem correct to you? We must distinguish between judgments on things and judgments ad personam. I don’t think I expressed any judgment about you, as you did with me. That’s a low blow. Aren’t you taking yourself a bit too seriously? Look, DeBaser is great because usually things are taken lightly here and, very importantly, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we use a bit of irony, especially to get closer to other users... Come on... If I, at 19 years old, have understood these fundamental notions, then everyone else can understand them, right?
