Silvio Berlusconi L'Italia Che Ho In Mente
Voto:
As noteworthy as the "Monsè pensiero" and "Confessioni Intime" by sister Valeria Marini. Let's hope that this Italy stays only in his mind, go! Microcephalic that he is.

Nice review, Uncle Mo! Have you read The Girl From Sputnik?
Darren Aronofsky Requiem For A Dream

It would be enough to solve everything by saying that Aronofsky is just kidding himself (if it weren't the case, I'd seriously start to worry about him). We need to understand if he's being genuine or just messing around, or both.
Cormac McCarthy La Strada

Here. This book is the recommendation for which I must thank Odradek. I read just a taste of it (my copy of "The Road" lies piled up among other books), then purely instinctively I bought "No Country for Old Men," also by the same author, discovering through this other book that McCarthy's true masterpiece was indeed "The Road": here McCarthy "dries up" the writing (unlike what happens in certain respects in "No Country for Old Men"), condensing the narrative material into incredibly powerful images and thus creating a small masterpiece.
Darren Aronofsky Requiem For A Dream

The problem with Aronofsky's films is redundancy, not only technical but particularly in terms of image-affection. In some ways, it's more exasperating than Dreyer's Joan of Arc.

Regarding the attitude of Disco Drive, I believe your opinion is quite shared: many groups are now playing at being indie rockers, imitating their attitudes, their musical styles, and consequently, they act all high and mighty, as if they’re somehow “niche.” Disco Drive is pretty entertaining; whether they belong to the magical world of “I’m so cool” is another story. And anyway, yes, at least Agnelli has a twenty-year career behind him: he can swagger as much as he wants. And I’ll tell you more: MANUEL AGNELLI SEGRETARIO DEL PARTITO DEMOCRATICO!

And since he included both A Toys Orchestra and Disco Drive in the new compilation, he gets a five!
