Great review, the first part is absolutely true, this jingoism is still present today. Great book, perhaps the best in the Holmes saga (Sherlock, I mean).

Ah great! You’ve seen some amazing shows... I’m also glad you met that delightful person known as Thijs van Leer. I saw Focus live in Amstelveen, Netherlands in 2007 and Steve Hackett for free in Lugano last year. I absolutely believe in firsthand information!

Even without comparing every single release to what they did in the Eighties, I think they are repetitive, especially when looking at what they've done from Brave New World to today, particularly regarding the last two studio efforts.

Maybe a couple of words about the cover were in order: it mirrors the 1972 album Volume 4 by Black Sabbath, featuring Ozzy at the center of the cover. That's why the choice to cover them wasn't random. Page not found – Black Sabbath Online
Wilbur Smith La Spiaggia Infuocata
Voto:
Undoubtedly Wilbur Smith's masterpiece, alongside "The Lion's Destiny." The part where Michael Courtney experiences what he experiences is tear-jerking, a character to whom one becomes attached. Not to mention the part with the Bushmen. Here we have an even more pleasant Centaine, while in the subsequent books she will become too much of a "woman with balls" type, a kind of woman that Wilbur evidently adores. The Burning Shore is undoubtedly the debut work.
