Italo-disco, I'm glad it's made a comeback thanks to this type of compilation and producers like Scuola Furano, Ajello, Santos, etc. Recently, an Italo retrospective was released by the English label Masterpiece Records, and in the compilation "The Kings of Techno," Carl Craig included a track by "Kano." One last thought on Irma: it's a shame it is no longer the hotbed of new sounds that it was in the late '90s.

??? First drum machines in 1994? Roland has been making them since the '70s... Raves were already quite widespread, even before the release of this record. Influential in the electronic scene (subversive?!?), but not in the way you described it. Described is, of course, a euphemism.
