Well, yes, I pretty much agree. Good job also on the choice of the group.

"From zero to ten" is the answer to the question "what is Ligabue's IQ?".

Hi Cptgaio, with guilty delay I've just now read your comment. Let me preface this by saying that I don't care at all about ratings, neither the ones I give nor the ones I receive. For me, Debaser remains strictly within a playful/informative realm. However, I thank you for pointing out that I also use - consciously - a lot of parentheses (sometimes they're necessary to better express concepts) and for taking a look at some of my reviews. I hope you found some inspiration for your listening, even if it's quite different from mine. My rating and the related comment are specific to that single review which, as you might have guessed, I didn't like for a number of reasons (including the excessive parentheses within a single sentence).
I don't have beams or specks anywhere, and the role of a little teacher doesn't suit me as I don't have the qualifications to be one. Comments are personal opinions and not presumed or absolute truths; anyone who comes to Debaser and publishes reviews knows, beforehand, that they will find people who agree and those who don't with what is written, and this is part of the normal discussion and dialogue among civilized people. There's also the aspect of joking around, which I personally enjoy a lot. Lastly, there are the unfounded attacks on people, which I do not share or carry out. I have no bad teachers I rely on or imitate the actions of. That said, I bid you farewell, advising you to take yourself and Debaser a little less seriously.

Telespallabob, are you sure your friend is a DJ? He should know that house music was born over twenty years ago; it's not just the music they dance to in clubs today. House music developed thanks to musicians of the caliber of Arthur Russell, Manuel Göttsching, Kraftwerk, etc., and it is still played by great musicians and singers today. So, before throwing judgments and using random words, do your research. A rather superficial review.

Sorry, the question was: am I wrong or has it become a bit square etc. etc.

I saw on your personal profile an old photo of DJ Felix Da Housecat when he was slim. Bye bye

The album is quite enjoyable to listen to, but the "references" to Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Philippe Zdar (Cassius, Motorbass), Alan Braxe, LCD Soundsystem, etc., are really excessive. Each track reminds us of a couple of the previously mentioned artists. They should find their own identity without being so "inspired" by other producers. Looking forward to the next album.
