The review is well done even though they don't drive me crazy. My vote would be 2.5 which I round up to 3. Mourning Palace, I would ask you to elaborate on your pair of one. Otherwise (as I suspect) they might just seem like judgments born out of the fact that they don't talk about rock/thrash/emocore/alternative music. And I don’t believe you have ever listened to this album. Therefore: damn human cases!!

A decent review for a good album, although a bit unripe. EBTG have always known how to blend the refinement of soul with the immediacy of pop, achieving consistently excellent results.
One curiosity, perhaps not known to many: Ben Watt has had and still has a parallel career as an excellent DJ/producer (in the house and deep genres), and Tracey Thorn boasts numerous collaborations with leading figures in quality electronic music. For example, with Massive Attack, Tiefschwarz, Deep Dish, Adam F, etc.

I liked it a lot since its release. Not a 5, but still, in my opinion, their best. However, I prefer them more in the role of remixers. The review is good even though you used some too long sentences. Also, I don't hear any blues influences in the album. And I think break and broken beat are the same thing. Anyway, good job on the choice.
